While the athletes may take centre stage on the court, it takes a huge team behind the scenes to ensure the Foot Locker Under-18 and National Junior Wheelchair Championships run smoothly.
Across the week in Moreton Bay, technical officials from around the country play a vital role in delivering the tournament, ensuring every game is administered professionally and providing athletes with the best possible environment to compete.
From scoretable officials and statisticians to referees, referee coaches, commissioners and tournament officials, their contribution is essential to the success of the championships.
“Technical officials are critical to the success of every championship event that we deliver, the game simply could not run without them,” said Matthew Young, Basketball Australia’s Competitions Manager.
“These championships are also an important part of the pathway for officials, giving them the opportunity to learn from experienced mentors, develop their skills and continue progressing within the game.
“We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has travelled to Moreton Bay and given up their time to be here this week.”
Basketball Australia would like to acknowledge and thank all Technical Officials involved in the 2026 Foot Locker Under-18 and Junior Wheelchair National Championships.
