Basketball Australia is pleased to announce the Foot Locker Under 14 Club Championships will continue in Western Australia until 2029 under a renewed three-year agreement.
Supported by the Western Australian Government and Tourism WA, the renewed agreement secures Western Australia as the host destination with the Championships returning to Willetton Basketball Stadium in 2027 and beyond.
The renewed agreement is a continuation of a successful partnership that started with Western Australia securing hosting rights in 2025.
This announcement is being made on the final day of the 2026 Championships in Willetton, where 48 of Australia’s leading junior club teams competed across the week, bringing together more than 700 athletes from every State & Territory.
The Under 14 Club Championships is the pinnacle event on Australia’s junior club basketball calendar, providing young athletes with the opportunity to represent their club and region against the best emerging talent from across the country.
Nicole Thompson, General Manager of Events & Marketing says the extension provides an important platform to continue building the Championships and the experience for young athletes and their families.
“The Under 14 Club Championships are such an important part of the Australian basketball pathway and for many of the athletes, it’s their first opportunity to represent their club and State or Territory on a national stage,” says Thompson.
“The week is about much more than the games themselves. It brings together families and basketball communities from across the country and creates an experience that stays with these young athletes for a long time,”

The extension will also provide certainty for clubs and families planning for future Championships, while continuing to bring hundreds of athletes, coaches, officials and supporters to Western Australia each year.
Western Australia’s Deputy Premier and Minister for Sport and Recreation the Hon. Rita Saffioti MLA said securing the Australian Under 14 Club Basketball Championships through to 2029 was a great outcome for Western Australia.

The 2026 Foot Locker Under 14 Club Championships will conclude at Willetton Basketball Stadium today with the boys and girls competitions finalising an epic week of basketball in Western Australia.
